I have been working on this smaller drawing of experimenting with little excerpts of flannel flowers. It is just a small selection of different aspects of these gorgeous flower. It is a pen, ink & wash drawing – although there is only a subtle hint of the wash in the centre of the flowers and leaves. I have use a super fine Rotring pen to create the illustration using a kzillion dots that make up the images of the flowers.
Working on a Hercules Moth image now – but only just started.
Its like a stained glass drawing. Lovely. The wash is very faint but just about visible on my screen. I can imagine this would look great in full vibrant colour as well.
I was actually thinking about stained glass windows and those little coloured variously shaped pieces, so well spotted! Lyn
What a fun composition! I like the contrast of the “shattered” lines and the intense rendering.
Thanks. Just having a play with different ideas. Lyn
