Thankyou! I also love the Proteaceae as you could tell from my work! I did a very short course on the ‘official’ way to do botanical illustration but really I have been drawing plants and animals for over 25 years so it was more a matter of getting those old rotring pens to work again. I know that in botanical illustration for publications there is technically a simplification of the plants etc. to basic outlines and the basic important features but I do love the detail! I am working on a larger work with colour washes of a tawny frogmouth at the moment….
