I have just arrived back from a trip to New Zealand. On our travels we visited Wingspan outside Rotorua on the North Island. If you ever are in this area of the world it is well worth a visit to Wingspan which has received many awards for their work and where you will get the rare opportunity to get up close to the New Zealand Falcon. This is the only native falcon found in New Zealand and is endangered with its numbers estimated at only 5,000 left. Wingspan also gives a lot of information about this wonderful bird and it is well worth thinking about sponsoring their work.
