Seeing Red – Bottlebrushes
These gorgeous red bottlebrushes are flowering in our garden at the moment. I love the way the deep red is set off by just that tiny yellow tip. I have used bottlebrushes in my linocuts in the past. This is the flower of the Birdwing butterfly rainforest vine - Aristolochia praevenosa. It is currently flowering in my garden - as warmer weather looks like it is now approaching I will keep an eye out for the Richmond Birdwing Butterfly.
