In updating this blog and making it easier to find my art diary entries about particular works I will be slowly making a landing page for each of the linocut designs. Each page will link back to previous posts of the drawing, design, carving, printing and hand colouring process that I have previously documented. This is a process of documentation for my artwork including for copyright purposes in the advent of new technologies able to reproduce artists work.
The first of these is a works I am documenting was completed in 2008 I named ‘Regeneration Waratah’. This work references the regrowth of Waratahs after bushfires from the charred leaves to the renewal through lignotubers in the ground which reshoot.
These are links to the process to completion. Note that these posts and images are from 2008 so the quality of the images are not what we would see now. I have decided to leave them all intact except to add a feature image from the same files. When wordpress changed from classic format to blocks some of these types of glitches occurred meaning there was a blank space for an image. This is a record of the original images.
