Little Kurrajong – ‘Brachychiton bidwillii’

These flowers are found on the Little Kurrajong – Brachychiton bidwillii – trees. At this time of year they lose their leaves and these spectacular bunches of flowers appear. A new word I found tonight would describe these flowers – pulchritudinous (beautiful) – now that’s spectacular!

I took these photos last week – I have some sketchy ideas for designs but may include them within a new (well really quite old!) project…something to do with alphabets….
