The Final Cut – New Zealand Wildflowers Linocut block

New Zealand Wildflowers Linoblock Final

Finally finished carving the New Zealand Wildflowers Linocut block. I have chosen to cut around the edges to get the lines I want without any additional ink marks coming from stray pieces of lino.

Unfortunately I will be busy for the next 3 days so it will be Saturday before I can print it.

  1. This is the most precise carving of lino I have ever seen. I take my hat off to you for your patience and this is going to look gorgeous inked up. How frustrating that you have to wait a few days before doing so!

  2. Hello Lesley, I have been away a couple of days and have just returned…hoping to print tomorrow, depending on the weather…we’ll see…otherwise I have more carving on another project or I am still finishing the Tawny Frogmouth illustration…or…

  3. This is lovely Lesley. Looking forward to seeing your print from this. And thank you for linking my blog!

  4. Thank you all for your comments and interest in this design. It was absolutely bucketing down rain yesterday and I don’t like printing in such conditions – paper gets ‘soft’ and when it is cooler the ink thickens up. The sun is attempting to break through this morning – so it is off to the studio…
