The way that Tawny Frogmouths exhibit expression is through their faces using their eyes and beak to do this is extremely important – I think their “eyebrows” also help! So have added 3 more ‘expressions’ to my studies. LOL! They’re characters.
We have a small reserve area behind our house and it is not uncommon for the ‘odd artist person’ to be out at midnight with a torch and camera chasing the ‘oom-oom-oom’. They are great birds!
