Summer Days and Dragonflies

A sunny and hot morning and the insects in our garden are out in force. This dragonfly sat for a long time around various points in my front garden.

My approach to our gardens is the more of them and less mowing. So our front yard has no grass but a variety of Australian native plants – grevilleas, lilly pillies, grasses, teatree, paper daises, rainforest, ivory curl flower, bottlebrush, flannel flowers and christmas bells to name a few.

…So we have a revolving array of birds and insects visiting.
