I am just on the end of carving this linocut design based on strawflowers – everlasting daisies from my garden. I am quite pleased with the actual design and carving – just need to see how it prints now!
Spent Sunday afternoon doing some gardening – took out all the dead and dying strawflowers – paper daisies. I plan to replant some new punnets in the next few weeks ready for spring. As a result I have 2 lovely vases full of vibrant strawflowers. They should dry quite nicely.
I have been growing a favourite Australian wildflower of mine – the strawflower or paper daisies. I buy them in punnets at a local nursery.
